Volcano Bay Water Theme Park
Universal’s Volcano Bay Water Theme Park opened on May 25, 2017.
The park is located around a central volcano. Krakatau is a 200 feet (61 m) tall styled volcano.
Housing three drop slides.
Ko’okiri Body Plunge which is the tallest body slide in America. At 125 feet tall and traveling through a pool.
Also the Kala & Ta Nui Serpentine Body Slides which travel through the volcano winding around the Krakatau Aqua Coaster.
The park utilizes the TapuTapu experience which is a wristband. It is distributed at the park’s entrance. This can be used to hold your place in line instead of standing in a long queue. for the attractions. TapuTapu comes with other features including TapTuPay, which will connect to your credit card through the Universal Orlando app and with this you can pay for drinks and merchandise.
TapTuPlay is a feature where you tap on a TapuTapu point and interactive with the environmental features around them, set off the water spring or illuminate lights.
Krakatau Aqua Coaster: A water coaster that takes riders inside the Krakatau volcano. Then plunging through a waterfall. It even propel s the riders uphill.
Ko’okiri Body Plunge: Almost a vertical (70-degree) drop speed slide with a trap-door start that passes through the Krakatau volcano, falling 125 feet (38 m). Then the slide will pass through one of the pool attractions at the base.
Kala and Ta Nui Serpentine Body Slides. An amazing pair of body slides with trap-door starts.
Punga Racers.A four-lane racing slide using mats resembling manta rays.
Relaxing and designed for sunbathing. Includes single and two-story cabana that can be rented.
Waturi Beach. The park’s main wave pool.
The Reef. A calmer pool with fewer waves.
The River Village area is for families and younger visitors with some great attractions.
Kopiko Wai Winding River. A relatively slow river that passes through Krakatau” Viewing the decorated caves and some special effects.
Tot Tiki Reef. A play area designed especially for toddlers.
Runamukka Reef.Fun tall water fortress with small slides.
Honu. A slide with passenger rafts which sweeps you up two massive walls.
Ika Moana.The second raft slide.
This area of the park contains a lot of thrill slides, including body slides and raft slides which are fun and can carry a small group.
Maku, A multi-passenger raft slide with three high-banked curves.
Puihi. Carries more than one rider. The rafts drop into pitch dark chambers then a funnel and a final unexpected drop.
Ohyah and Ohno Drop Slides.Body slides with fun and exciting drops to the splash pools.
TeAwa The Fearless River. A raft ride simulating white-water rafting.
Taniwha Tubes. Four raft slides ridden as a solo or in pairs.
Puka Uli Lagoon. A nice relaxing pool.
